Dear Customers,
In today's digital world, the security of your financial data is a top priority. Fraudsters constantly develop new ways to deceive users, so staying informed and vigilant is essential to protect yourself from potential threats.
1. What is Phishing?
Phishing is an online fraud technique where attackers impersonate trusted organizations to obtain your personal data, such as login credentials, passwords, or banking details. They may send fake emails, messages, or create counterfeit websites that closely resemble legitimate ones.
Signs of Phishing Messages:
- Fake sender: The email address or phone number may slightly differ from
the official one.
- Urgent requests: Messages demanding immediate action, such as 'Your account
will be blocked unless you...'.
- Suspicious links: Links that lead to websites different from the official
@piggypay.io domain.
How to Protect Yourself from Phishing:
- Verify the sender: Ensure the message originates from an official Piggy
Pay address.
- Do not click on suspicious links: Hover over a link to see the actual URL
before clicking.
- Use a security code for communication: Set up a unique code that will be
included in all genuine messages from Piggy Pay.
2. What to Do If You Fall Victim to Fraud?
If you suspect that you have been scammed:
- Report it to us immediately:
- Send an email from your registered
Piggy Pay email address.
- Use the subject line: 'Fraud Report'.
- Log in to your Piggy Pay profile,
find the suspicious transaction, and copy its amount and date into your email.
- Describe the situation in detail.
- Contact law enforcement:
- File a report with your local police
or cybercrime authority.
3. Never Share Access to Your Profile with Third Parties
Sharing access to your profile may seem convenient, but it significantly increases the risk of fraud. Fraudsters can steal your money within seconds, making recovery extremely difficult. This also violates your contract with Piggy Pay, and for a good reason.
Recommendations:
- Do not share login details: Never disclose your username, password, or
authentication codes, even to close contacts. Piggy Pay staff will never ask
for your login credentials.
- Be cautious of remote access requests: Piggy Pay employees will never ask you
to install remote control software on your device.
- Only log in via the official website: Use only the official Piggy Pay website
to access your profile.
4. Additional Security Tips
- Update your passwords regularly: Use strong and unique passwords for your
account.
- Enable two-factor authentication: This adds an extra layer of protection.
- Be wary of suspicious messages: If a message seems suspicious, contact our
support team to verify its authenticity.
Your account security largely depends on your vigilance and adherence to these
guidelines. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact
our support team at [email protected] or via Telegram - @Piggyinc.
5. Never Share Access to Your Piggy Pay Profile
Providing access to your profile may seem like an easy way to facilitate
transactions, but it creates a high risk of fraud. Fraudsters exploit such
situations to gain control of your money unnoticed.
With remote access or login details, fraudsters can steal your funds in
seconds. At Piggy Pay, security is our top priority, and we implement all
available protection mechanisms. However, fraudsters can still succeed if you
give them the opportunity.
How to Avoid Giving Fraudsters Access to Your Profile?
- Do Not Allow Remote Access
- Piggy Pay will never ask you to
download remote control software or make transfers on your behalf.
- Our support agents provide clear
instructions via phone or email but will never request control over your
device.
- Beware of Fake Support Agents
- Scammers impersonate support agents,
create fake websites, and use counterfeit Piggy Pay support numbers.
- A polite voice may assure you that
installing software will help resolve an issue faster. Do not be deceived.
A Genuine Piggy Pay Support Agent Will Never Request Access to Your Device
If someone demands access to your mobile device, they are not a Piggy Pay employee. You can find our official support contact details on the Contacts page after logging into your profile.
Do Not Share Your Login Details via Email
Sharing your profile access with friends or family may seem harmless, but
it violates your contract with Piggy Pay.
If you need help using Piggy Pay, contact our team for step-by-step guidance.
We will never ask for your login credentials, request screen sharing, or
require you to download third-party applications.
6. Only Log In Through PiggyPay.io
Piggy Pay works directly with you to ensure your transfers are processed as
intended. We do not use intermediaries or assistants for account creation and
management – everything is easily accessible through our website.
Unfortunately, scammers often pose as 'assistants' to manipulate users into
providing personal details via email. Be extremely cautious if someone requests
your login information under the pretext of setting up an account for you.
When logging into Piggy Pay, verify that the browser link matches
'https://piggypay.io'. If you receive a login request via email, ensure the
domain is '@piggypay.io'. Any other addresses may be fraudulent.
Situations Where You May Be Asked to Log in Through Another Platform
There are no situations where we would ask you to log in through external
websites or apps. If such requests arise, they are fraudulent.
At present, we do not partner with any services that require or enable access
to our platform. If such partnerships arise in the future, we will notify each
customer through their registered profile on https://piggypay.io and update our
Terms of Service.
Stay Safe and Protect Your Data.
Best regards,
Piggy Pay Team
